Celebrating the dance sector, this year One Dance UK Awards was held in Coventry. I am honoured to have been one of the judges and to have presented The People’s Choice Award to Dr Swati Raut; The Artistic Innovation in Dance Award to Luca Silvestrini. Congratulations to One Dance UK and all the nominees.
But in the midst of all celebrations, one moment stood out more than others. A moment dedicated to remembrance. Sharing smiles, laughter and solace. Honouring the memories of colleagues, friends, family members who recently passed away.
A very difficult time as some wounds are still wide open, but a beautiful commemoration through memorialising the impact they have had in our lives. Leaving us with the legacy that had and will inspire many, for many years to come.
