Created by IJAD, the national OOT Arts/Tech Residency 2024-25 launched last year and is now in full swing. This six-month residency (October 2024 – March 2025) brings together performing artists and creative technologists across London, Nottingham, Bath, and Bristol. We started in Nottingham, by exploring VR, AR, motion capture, and more, pushing the boundaries of what hybrid performance can achieve. Later, we were in London discovering Photogrammetry and 3D development pipeline. Before finishing the year with exploring XR Music & Sound in performances and the use of Live-Streaming in arts. This month, we are bringing AI creative possibilities into the programme, teaching how new tools are integrated in performing arts.
We’re so proud to have gathered a talented cohort of diverse artists, with different backgrounds and abilities.
Our 13 resident artists are deeply engaged in workshops, mentorships, and hands-on research, developing new methods of interaction, embodiment, and audience engagement. This purposefully structured residency programme is more than technical skills, it’s about creating a collaborative environment where emerging technologies and artistic expression converge to form a new cultural framework for Dance performance.
