Discussing sustainability within production and creative process at BBC Academy. It’s been one year since the Climate Content Pledge, time to reflect upon the progress that has been made. Yesterday, Climate Creatives 2022 gathered commissioners, production staff and leading creatives to share thoughts about communicating climate stories to millions across the globe and build strategies to effectively implement sustainability in the production process.

There are many challenges ahead to develop actionable steps through the lens of the current climate. In the midst of the cost-of-living crisis, accessibility is a crucial part of creative and sustainable development. Finding ways to facilitate engagement with new works will allow audiences to shape productions tackling relevant themes and ultimately influence future discussions all together.
