Leading up to the Dance & AI Workshops, we were invited to the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s programme ‘Morning Barbados’ to discuss the advances in technology and dances, as part of Carifesta XV.
In collaboration with Valencia James, a series of workshop intensives were held at the National Cultural Foundation of Barbados, . In this 3-day workshop intensive, we shared how emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (machine learning), computer vision and motion capture can be applied to live dance performance, the creation process as well as post production techniques to enhance live performances. The workshop focused on cross-disciplinary collaborations and welcomed all creatives interested in the intersection of movement, arts, performance, technology, and film.
