Delighted to mentor Lauryn Pinard in her new exploration with Digital Technology as part of DBDE.
Tè & Moun is a new interdisciplinary performance project that explores the concept of Insurgent Geology through dance, sound design and visual arts.
The piece made for three performers from the Caribbean Diaspora will follow them on their search for utopia in the context of climate and political emergency on their land, resting, gathering and tearing apart to mould something new.
Lauryn’s commission Tè & Moun invites you on a journey through an otherworldly land longing for healing. Inspired by Jayna Brown’s Black Utopias, this hybrid performance intertwines dance, film, and immersive soundscapes. It explores the convergence of Insurgent Geology and Haitian Marasa Twa consciousness, offering a poetic exploration of resilience and transformation.
