As part of the Royal Geographical Society annual international conference, Imaginal Cells was screened alongside our conversation on Radical Re-imaginings of Black Futurity bringing together artists Bryony Ella, Antoine Marc, DBDE and Milkit Studio, with a collective of Black artists and scholars.
In this conversation, our panel explored the commission’s provocative challenge: to radically rethink the connections between Black womanhood and the environment. By reimagining bodies within the context of social and environmental upheaval, the panel will consider how we might shape a more equitable and sustainable future.

The RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2025 will be chaired by Professor Patricia Noxolo (University of Birmingham, UK), on the theme of Geographies of Creativity/Creative Geographies.
The call for sessions, papers and posters is now open! Find out more HERE.
